I have a faulty door lock mechanism on the rear passenger door. When I lock the car via the remote, or via the drivers door lock on the armrest, neither operation locks/unlocks the rear passenger door.
I took off the trim today, and as per the manual applied positive and negative voltage to pins 1 and 4 (both directions for lock/unlock) and no action from the mechanism.
Figuring I need to obtain a new one, I undid the three security bolts near where the latching mechaism is to the body to release the whole mechanism free, but I cant work out how to get it out of the door panel as the window guide runs down the door and blocks the unit from being removed..
Has any one had to do this before? Does the door window glass have to be removed to get the mechanism out?
