On our local forum here in Dubai, several members have complained about cracked frames under the engine. Any of you guys experience such problems and how did you deal with them. A couple of outfits perform support and welding work, I am thinking fo doing this as a precautionary measure because I intend on keeping this car for the long haul. Many of the cars here are used in the desert and there are many dunes in the area which can result in a number of hard landings, thus exposing a potentially weak point in the frame even further.

I dont think the Prado or any other civilian 4wd was ment to have hard impacts as you discribe. Maby the odd one or two but im pretty sure unless its a military grade Hummer it shpould have all four wheels on the ground. I have not seen Australian members on this forum suffering this problem. Are there any photo's???Prado 120 Series Build; http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?24346-Desert-Dueler-120
