For those thinking of such things, you may be interested in my mudflap. Built around a gal fence post from Bunnings with "L" brackets from Bunnings, bent to an "S" and welded on to the fence post. Attatches to the tie down/recovery point and the same under the exhaust. Proved itself on the Strez and Birdsville a month ago. I have also had some chipping, but I had chipping on the rear tyres also so it should be expected. Bought the rubber of the roll at Clark. Would put on conveyer if it becomes available. My Prado is lifted and so I also put on some rubber above the bar to try and contain the rocks and mud going up onto the body. I need to extend it alittle further for the next trip.

It is also cut up the middle and I am thinking of cutting it at the inside wheel point as I have a split on one side at this point.

I wonder if others have done such things.
