Prado 120 DAC light continually blinking

Hi all, this is my first post!!! I have a Prado 120 Grande - Petrol (2004) and I have not had the chance to take it 4WD'ing just yet, but I am testing some of the features and DAC is one of them. I read that I need to put the gears in L & N, then press the DAC button until it is on, well this is when this lights continually blinks and does not come on. Is there something I should be checking for before I take it to Toyota?

No other issues are visible and DAC seems to work when going backwards downhill, so it only seems to be faulty when going downhill while going forward.

Any help will be appreciated.

I thought the electrics came on automatically and that holding the button down disables it...
I know from Mal that on a GXL with option pack that if you hold the centre diff lock button down the blinking light means you've over-riden the traction control..
