Rear door ladder

I am looking at putting a roof rack on my Prado.
being a little handy capped i know its going to be hard getting things off the roof so i was wondering if anyone here has made a ladder to get to a roof rack ?
Most put them on there rear doors but i dont like the idea of putting my fat ass on the ladder and putting to much pressure on the door.
So if anyone has done a side ladder or rear
can you please post some pics for me to give me some ideas on how to go about it
