  • Spare wheel lock?

Hi, is there a seperate key for the spare wheel lock or should the ignition key fit?
My ignition key doesnt fit so how would I remove the lock as I dont have any other keys for it?
Would the Toyota garage be able to help maybe?

The ignition key is the one to use. You don't turn it or anything. Just push it in, grab the lock and pull it off.

Off course those locks are only for show, I can use the key to the missus Rav to take mine off, I reckon a screwdriver the right size would work as well as the key.

It's what we call " security from the honest thieves" ( a bit like security screens on your sliding windows only in your home)

Look I have to admit, the first time I ever tried to get the spare off it took me about 10 minutes of turning the key and jiggling about until I realised it just pulled straight off as soon as the key went in. Followed by about 10 minutes of swearing at myself...

Add that ten minutes to the time taken looking for that hidden third row head rest that is zipped into the back of the actual seat. Just speaks volumes about any time spent on Pradopoint "researching" is never wasted time!
