My Prado is due a 100,000 km service very soon. I have been gathering Toyota parts for this tone completed - second mortgage!
I have just noticed that I have a servicing log book for a 1KZ-TE diesel engine. My car has a 1KD (D4D) engine.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in the servicing requirements?
My book advises that the following are changed:
Engine oil and filter - I do this every 5,000.
Fuel filter.
Lubricate prop shaft.
Tighten prop shaft bolts.
Tighten bolts on chassis and body.
The rest is just inspect which I do in any event.
I am also going to change out the small tank filter of which there is no mention in my book.
The book I have also specifies that the cambelt should be changed out at 150,000 is this correct?, or is it better to do at 120,000.
Thanks and happy New Year to all.
