I think we need a cleaning tips guide for spots often missed.
For example:
When hosing mud off under the back wheel wells be sure to turn the hose back towards yourself and aim it high to wash between the flare and body and flush out the entire wheel arch. You can feel how much build up is there by feeling it with your semi grasped fingers (as if you were going to lift the rear of the car from the wheel well).
Open the rear side doors and cleaner the flare overlap, there is often a big build up of debri in the bottom corner and on the flare on the door.
You can stick the hose up under and behind either side of the rear bumper about 15 cms in from the side and wash out more mud that builds up between the body flares and body, especially around the exhaust pipe and the same location on the opposing side.
You can get more mud from around the running boards and chassis by kneeling and using a broad spray pointed up and towards you, to wash all the build up on the backside of the running boards and body.
If you have an ARB bar, debri builds up on the inside of the bar adjacent to the front wheel well, you can wash out the guards of the bullbar with the hose.
Spray the hose around the entire back door seals and rear tire mount to wash away dust build up. Pull rear door handle out while locked, to wash dust out of handle.
Install two layers of flyscreen between the grill in the snorkel to prevent bugs, mud and seeds entering in the first place.
