ignore my ignorance, but what is wrong or goes wrong with kdss
I don't think that KDSS has any particular problems, it's just the concept of fitting all this electronic gear to cars makes me cringe. Put it on the top models if people want it, but as for the base models, well I'd rather see them with less than they already have.
Cheers Andrew

MY PRADO AND DIY CAMPER TRAILER
here is me thinking kdss is a hydraulic system. I drove a LC with one and one without one. Chalk and cheese.
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.
If I could have done a deal to get KDSS with the rest of the GXL spec I would have. Superb system and every bit as useful as STC or ABS. Alas no bananas. The only VX that was available when we bought our GXL was overpriced and the faux leather and other accoutrements don't add any value in my eyes and the $ didn't stack up. Next time though... Did I mention it was black too?
Well, actually I think I see what they mean by that. The Prado is a high selling model compared to the others and the MASSIVE rear door is just a downside of it. If it was to be replaced by a split door system, people who buy the other cars just for that door will go to the Prado instead of those other models.
Not sure if any of that made sense but that's how I see Beachs' post.

2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.
If you want split doors you might as well get the GX 200 series "poverty pack". Only problem is it's only available in white.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
The injector issue needs to be fixed. It's bulls#*t. A consumable item costs a few dollars, not a few thousand.
I know others have already said injectors, but it's such a big issue, it's worth mentioning again!
I have to say today Toyota have really messed up on the new 150 headlights... I dont like the look of them but that is a personal opinion.
My big issue is the headlights being on all the time..
No Offense to any of you who do this but.. WHO drives with your headlights on during the day.. only Pretentious fools thats who.
I am an educated driver that drives to the road and weather conditions and I dont need some safety twat from TOYOTA telling me that I need my headlights on during the day and at all times. does anyone know how to fix this?

No offence taken here..
I drive most of the time during daylight hours with either my headlights on ( work ute ) or mini spots in the FG and Prado ( 120 )
Its not because of your reasoning tho... I do this because not everyone is as good as you behind the wheel, If my lighting during
daylight hours increases my vehicles visibility for the other road users, I don't see the hassle ... I like advised just turn em on
As mentioned turn yours off, may help to look in the glove box and read the instructions to operate that 150 mate?
but if your such a good driver, who needs instructions, just burn the book , Cheers mate Butane
