    Morning Chaps,
    My questions
    1 When my fuel gauge reads say two thirds is that two thirds of the 180 odd litres I can store in the two tanks or just one tank?
    2 Also are there tank turn over switches anywhere please?
    3 Occasionally when I turn the key on the 90 litre green light comes on a the top of the fuel gauge I go to the servo put $20 or $40 bucks in and when I turn on a start up no more green 90 litre light ?

    From a driving point of view, forget the fact that you have 2 tanks in the 120, there is no switch or anything you need to do, they work as if they are one.

    The fuel gauge is probably a bit over complicated but easy enough once you understand it. When full the gauge will read full and no green 90 litre light will show. As you use the first tank the gauge will slowly drop to half way, showing you have used half your fuel. When that first tank is empty the green light will come on and the gauge will return to the full position, showing the second tank is still full. That will slowly drop down and when it nears empty the gauge wil show near empty and a low fuel light will come, usually with about 15 litres left.

      Anyone can correct me here but this is how find it works:
      The pump between the 2 tanks is always pumping from the sub tank to the main tank. This is so the petrol mixes and doesn't go stale. No manual button. The gauge goes down to around half (just below I find). The 90L light comes on and the gauge goes back to the top. This means your sub tank is now empty and it will go from full to empty to as per normal.
      The reason when you put a small amount back in as there is petrol back in the sub tank so the 90L light goes back off again until it pumps that back into the main tank.

        I think its a dicky design. but excellent fuel economy none the less. I have this set up and I can get 1500Kms from both tanks full to quarter tank left.
        now the price of diesel needs to go down !
