  • Where did you mount your Bury or Smoothtalker mobile cradles?

    Hi,
Looking to see where people mounted their Bury or Smoothtalker mobile phone cradles in their 120s.
Prefer not to drill into the dash
    Any photos?
    cheers
    Robert

I don't have one of those cradles but I used the ClicOn Centre Mount. The mount itself has a base plate that the cradle screws to. It might be suitable for you? Its a standard screw pattern on the mounting plate. The mount doesn't bolt in anywhere its held on by adhesive strips and pressure.

It does block the aircon a bit but keeps the phone cool. But keeps the phone nice and high as I use it as my GPS.

They also have an angled mount that sits on the passenger side.

I'll try and remember to take a photo of mine, it's a smooth talker that I modified a bracket that fits between the dash and insterment cluster on the left side of the cluster ( no drilling it squeezed between the two) and mounted the cradle to that.

Thanks, that sounds like what I am after.
Do you have a photo please.
          Was it a factory bracket?
          Cheers

Thanks, That looks pretty good. Yes just trying to get it around that area and not obstruct the radio or the ac vents too much.
And be able to run the power and external aerial connections behind the dash.
              Cheers

I've used a RAM suction mount to stick it to the window next to the pillar just above the dash. It is right behind / next to the steering wheel but doesn't interfere, and is very easy to reach.

Here's some more, the bracket is home made bent up in the vise job. I just used double sided tape between the bracket and dash so it will stay put. The cables I cut a corner out of one of the unused blanks under the cradle and ran them through there. Blanks are easy replaced if you want to remove it one day.
                    Cheers.

I mounted mine on a stainless steel bracket over the right hand side air vent. It puts it in easy reach and view. Blocking one vent didn't worry me as I get enough air from the other vents. It's bolted through the vent surround and the holes could easily be plugged with small rubber plugs when removed. The tape to only to stop reflections of the stainless steel when the door is open.
