I ran Aux power into the centre consol ages ago, but only installed 1 x outlet. Dont know why I didnt fit 2, as kids have often wrestled to use the power on longer trips to charge gadgets etc, so thought would do it now even though only 1 x daughter coming on our Gibb Trip. Finally got around to it.
Its supplied from an Aux power relay from 2nd battery that also supplies rear inside Anderson plug for Inverter, rear external Anderson plug, 2 way and rear Engel supply plug.
I have a 2nd Aux relay that supplies 2nd rear Anderson plug for camper.
All done in 6mm cable
Same relay supplies this plug and the Anderson plug for inverter
Finally, also installed a cheapie 3 way outlet for our phones etc. Just used velcro to secure as will only be for this trip.
I like having plenty power options on board
Thanks for the pics... it's on the to-do list
Cheers, Leon There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!

Yeah I did too same as Big Trev I'd assume. There is a groove in the rubber that you can squeeze flat twin core into. Light bar up one side and rear work lights up the other.
Cheers

I actually had an experiment once and did a dummy run of 5 core 10 amp trailer flex and you can squeeze that into the gap behind the windscreen moulding if you like.
Once you get your chosen wire up to the roof bars (if you have them) you can remove the front cover and run your wire under the cover before replacing it and the whole wire run is virtually impossible to see.

I've been thinking about trying to run coax up there too so I can buy one of AMTS's aerial brackets for the back of the awning. Do you reckon that might fit too AJ?
Cheers

On our way back to Qld after getting our ORS draws and water tank installed the other week or so we had a ummmm... run-in with a bloody big pole and dented my girl real bad!!.
Just got "The Pearl" back from the panel shop after this altercation today... I was talikng to my lady - watching the camera backing up to get onto a ferry and missed the pole in the blind spot of the reversing camera/spare wheel... "not happy Jan!!"
What I did do though because of how it happened was to have the camera removed from the number plate area up to the top of my door - I also installed an aftermarket fibreglass "dust" spoiler for the back door AND had reverse sensors added to my new rear bar!
Won't happen again - lesson learnt!
Here is the damage... urgh!
Will take some new pics tomorrow and post... pleased she's home and "happy"

OUCH !!! YMUS, as they say shit happens but still that sickening feel when you hear and feel the crunch and more pissed when you do it yourself eh.. Luckily no dented metal panels by the look of it, the rear light while broken seems to be in its original position ??....My mate works for insurance company and does the claims. Reckons the claims for owners reversing into things them selves since these rear view cameras have come out has more then doubled. People forgetting to check the spots the camera or sensors dont pick up. Annoying but at least you have it back nice and new now, as you said lesson learnt although an expensive one, at least no one was hurt just a bit of pride but hey it happens to all of us at some stage...(Ive done it myself with our brand new commodore at the time, while not as bad still pissed me off I did it lol)......Cheers Steve
There's a good learning point here: just because you have a camera don't forget to use the mirrors and, if in doubt, get the missus to stand between the car and the obstacle.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
Steve and fellas
Gotta say there was a dented panel or two so they had to remove my brand new 3draw ORS setup as well as all the panels behind were dented...bugger!
ANYWAY she's back I've DEFINATELY learnt my lesson and the new system works a treat.
"Very Happy Jan"!!!
Will do some pics tomorrow... as we were cutting templates etc. to "wrap" every panel of the car today!!
talk soon
