additionally to installing the compressor under the hood, Today i installed an air hose connector and push/pull power switch on bull bar behind led bar to make life a bit easier when the compressors in use.

      • Hey zutta, just watch that air fitting, they are not a self sealing type, so mud, water, whatever the kids want to shove in there can fill it up. I would be using the female side there (they are self sealing) or getting some sort of cover at least. Otherwise nice job, great idea and one i might look into.

Thanks mate , I did think it also needed some sort of protective cover. i was thinking just a blank female end should do the trick.

I used a female adapter so i actually have a male end facing down under the bull bar which connects to 5mts of rolled up hose that both have female ends, one to compressor and one to the male end facing down under bar.

Best i could do with what fittings i had on hand

With this setup i can use my normal air hose that's stored in rear draws for use on the rig and when the caravan tyres need air i can utilize that extra hose to make the distance (bonnet has to be opened).

          • When they are joined together they are not sealed, so if you push a female end on make sure it has a blanking plug screwed onto the back of it, but that would work great. If you go to a hydraulic fitting shop they should be able to sell you a blanking plug/cap with a bit of light chain attached so you can bolt the other end to the bullbar so you can't loose it either.

            • On Tuesday, I had my front e-locker installed by Oppisite Lock at Nerang. This will make the front and rear the same.

Now to try and find the time to see how it all works. (working night shift 5-6 nights a week).

Do you mind me asking how much it was for the front and rear? I live in Nerang.

                  • Repaired my "floppy" auto gear lever using the kit supplied by Amts. A simple and cheap fix.

                    cheers

                    • Well today was a funny day.
Got a good tax return and decided to go buy the winch I've had my eye on. Problem is one of you lot walked out of Shoreline 4x4 with the last one as I got there! Lol oh well had to order one. Will be here next week.
Also ordered the blanking plate for the egr from the same guy.
And a 2.75" exhaust from Beaudesert.
Aaand a rear locker, winch bar and roller drawer from ARB.
Oh and I actually did something to my car too. Neat little led strip with dimmer on the awning 👍 looks great. Don't know why I didn't do it earlier.

                      • Replaced the cabin air filter with a genuine OEM (I know stupid - $73). Suspect that the one I replaced, which was also OEM, had never been changed - now at 126,000kms. Very clogged and also much leaves and small sticks in there as well.

                        • G'day Billzor

The rear was about $1800 and front $2300, both prices are fitted. Both are Eaton E-Lockers

Give Tony (oppisite Lock)y a ring and get a price. He needs the business.
