    nope, but the clockspring is basically a electrical connector that allows the steering wheel to turn and the functions to work that are connected to the steering wheel etc.

            its a common thing once you get into higher kms, they wear out and break like everything.

            Hilux's are very common and go under 100k.

            Airbag light on = no airbag deployment in serious accident

            If its the clockspring you can pick up part for under $200 and DIY, Heard of toyota charging in excess of $700 for replacement.

            • so the intake manifold is out. venturi is cleaned up. im about to rip the injectors and glow plugs out ready to go to MTQ in the morning. Then to try figure out how to clean out the intake side of the head.... what a bloody mess....

              • I finally cleaned the engine bay today after 1 year of mud and dust build up..... Used the CT 18 everyone has been talking about, bloody good stuff!!

                  Ahh I was trying to find that thread before to see what the good oil was called as I have to clean my bay this arvo. Anyone have the link handy? Last time I used pressure cleaner off a ladder so the nozzle was about a metre away. I have degreaser, will that help at all?

                    • Thank you, I ended up cleaning the engine bay with a combination of normal hose, pressure cleaner & de-greaser. Will have to get some if this for next time .
