      Hey Andrew
Is there a special technique to rolling the awning back up ?
Do you part fold it or just roll it up as tight as you can from right to left or left to right ?
Mine seems to be a bit bulgy at the front

      • I roll it up, not sure what you mean by left right or vice versa. I grab it near the end and give it a couple of rolls upwards, then place the strap into the roll and roll it up all the way as tight as I can, then wrap the tie in strap around it and Bobs your uncle. When I zip it up I make sure I push the awning into the cover with one hand to make sure it doesn't catch in the zipper, I got it caught once and it was a bugger to get it all out without damage.

        • Saw a 150 with one at Bunnings the other week and had to have a close look. It didn't look like it was rolled up very well but the bag looks roomy.

          • Picked up the Lokka rear diff locker kit from the post office. Now have to wait until I get some cool days off in order to fit it.

I spoke with Kylie from Ostrich Awnings and she told me people roll them up from both sides.

I've done that zipping up in a hurry, hurts like hell when you do it and twice as bad fixing problem.

Actually the picture is quite good to help understand what you are saying. I gave it a go rolling it up that way, I am not sure its any better or worse than the way I was doing it. I am heading out on a trip in a couple of weeks so might test it out either way a few times and see what I think.

Its only natural that it will be a bit bulky at the front end due to having more material in that area, mine probably looks a little like in the picture as well, maybe not quite so pronounced. I have thought since I bought it that a second strap about halfway along to help tie up the awning would neaten things up a bit, that would be simple enough to add, just that I have never bothered.

                      • I just packed mine away by grabbing the left hand bottom corner and bringing it all the way up till you make a smaller triangle then roll it up from the bottom point and it packed away quite neat :-)

Tried to run power for the camper down the chassis rail today. Couldn't get it past half way. How did you guys do it?

when i ran it in my dads prado, i did through the firewall and under the door trims and then out a grommet at the back to the towbar.

                            • Alternatively run it parallel along the brake lines on the left inside rail. When you get past the rear axle you can cable tie it to the rear tank and this brings it right up to the bumper.
