Pull up, from back of trim. Back must come up first.
Dry clean hands & trim so you can grip the plastic.

Thanks mate will have a go.

It's not hard at all. Just open centre box and pull up on the plastic, then get your fingers under the left, long silver trim and pull up. The right, shorter silver is a bit easier if you can get your fingers under it without lifting The whole black panel

      • I generally use a plastic spatula to lever up those panels, they are really very easy to remove and fairly robust clips. I have had mine out countless times and never broken a clip.

        • Welded some nuts onto the front cross member and got rid of the pathetic captive nuts and skinny bolts that Broome Toyota put in when they screwed all the bolts on my under bar bash plate. New HT bolts and ready for a flogging in Tassie. Lokka noise not as bad as people say. Getting quieter as it runs in and you can only hear it when you pull a slow speed sharp turn. Also pulled the rear door trim and plastic welded the big cracks.

            • Discovered that my car key was in the work jeans that I had been boiling up in the laundry sink for just over 4 hours. Opened the plastic case to find amazingly only a couple of drops of water. The battery compartment was bone dry and the unit works perfectly.

                • Yes. Much better smelling than the jeans which still reek of diff oil. I might have to ditch them.

                    • I used to own the local Laundromat and the wife of the local Diesel Mechanic used to come in and wash his work overall and she used truck wash! Apparently it was the best she ever found.

I concur with your old girl friend / Local Diesel Mechanics Wife.
Have used CT18 in the work clothes wash after some filthy machinery relocation jobs, with good results.

                              • Had the LH passenger wheel bearing replaced. Apparently the pervious owner had replaced but did not include one of the seals and it has seen a lot of water and dust on my recent trip. Getting ready for the next trip Sept/Oct service exposed the play in the bearing. Other one is OK.
