I use the sound deadener, sprays on with the rough finish and dries tough. I just get it at SCAComment

Just had the 100K service, then I cleaned the underbody, greased the driveshafts, washed the AMTS bashplates then resprayed them black with Zinc paint, put in 170 litres of diesel and she is ready for the next adventure.

I got to drive mine today for the first time in over a month. I forgot how nice it is to drive! I thought the engine was quiet and smooth before, now it's had a rebuild and new injectors it is even smoother and even quieter. But I'm also a lot poorer....Comment

I haven't used the stuff for a while but I was rebuilding an old car... you spray this stuff on with a putty gun and it goes on nice and thick. Deadens sound a little but protects from stone chips. Doesn't set rock hard. Pretty much just follow the instructions on the packet.
