Thanks for that , greatly appreciated. Still having a couple of dramas... test for STARTER and found TWO positive wires... one was black/white and the other was green... so I cut the black/white and wired the green from the viper to one end and the purple to the other... but when I arm the alarm, I can still crank the engine with the key and it starts ?
So now I am guessing that I should have cut the green wire and did it to that instead? Guess I am soldering the two ends of the black/white back together and trying again. Don't think I am going to bother with the remote start as it won't work anyway because of the transponder in the key I am guessing so unless I can get a Prado bypass module to do that I will just leave it. Can't believe how little info there is on installing an alarm into a prado which is a very popular vehicle.
I work in radio and also do karaokes and leave $8k plus worth of gear in the car sometimes so need the alarm to page me if the car is being broken into.
I live on Central Coast NSW and work in Newcastle mostly. My number is 0409 240660 and I would love it if I could have a quick chat before I going chopping away at the car tomorrow afternoon LOL
Thanks heaps,
Dean
ps: yes I too love all those 200ma auxiliary wires in the alarm... was thinking about wiring the sunroof into it and maybe the light bar...
