I wrote up an install thread on deadening doors and fitting after-market speakers, hopefully some of the info is useful to you - here's a link
    http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...-inch-Speakers

I've since changed the setup a bit
    - added deadening to the outer skins, and also put foam between the outside plastic guards/faring and the door panels to stop them rattling.
    - changed the rear speakers to just 6 inch coaxials.
    - picked up a new head unit with RCA preouts, rather than using the line-output converter. This made a huge difference, because I measured the frequency response of the factory head unit, and it has no low frequency extension (i.e. bass output was very average).
    - added a sub in the boot.

Thought I'd upload a few pics for others to see regarding the install.

Firstly, removed the driver's seat to make sure the amp had enough space.

      Seat taken out.

Here's the door with the stock 6x9s and my dynamat job, looks shit, but I cut it into small manageable pieces for two reasons. 1. Because I wanted to keep the wiring in place where it was due to limited time and 2. to limit swearing when things go inevitably wrong and it sticks to something it shouldn't. i also applied a fair bit of it on the inner skin that I could reach through the hole where the speaker goes.

With the speaker and crossover in place. Crossover is just stuck to the door with heavy duty double sided tape.

Then with the new headunit in place with all panels back in ready to go.
