Hello. I own a 2004 GX 120 (5L) and even after 10 years, its going as strong as it was on day one. However some issues have developed over the years and now's a good time to fix as many of them as I can. I dont plan on taking the suv to mechanics because here, even though the labor and parts aint that expensive, the mechanics will fix one problem but cause two more. And this keeps on going. So here's what I need help with.
Note: I'll ask 1 question at a time. Once that problem is resolved i'll move onto the next. I have done my research on all these questions, but because i may be using a different approach, i coudnt find help regarding the issues i am facing.
Q1) The Cracked Dash problem. I am planning on wrapping the dash pad with a leather vinyl because repairing has failed and a new one costs way too much. In order to wrap the vinyl around the corners of the dash i need some parts to be removed. The Red parts iv managed to pull off. the blue parts i need some help with pulling out.
Also i read somewhere that in order to remove the black plastic trim around the instrument cluster, i have to remove the cover under the steering column (the whole piece). Is this correct?
Some shots of the GX and a ref pic to indicate the encircled parts
