  • Sunglass holder/mirror thingy

I was sniffing around in a mates new Kluger and noticed the sunglass holder mounted to the roof near the map lights has a convex mirror that enables you to see the rear seat passengers. As I didn't check this out during the test drive, does the Prado have this mirror?

mine doesn't, but the kids still think I have eyes in the back of my head. I use the mirrors on the sun visors and subtle glances

If it ain't on the Grande, i don't reckon anyone would have it. Something i do is use the little flick swith at the bottom the mirror. I flick the mirror into the up position(pull the switch forward) and and then set it for seeing out the back of the car, when i what to see into the back seat i flick the mirror down(flick the switch back) as you do at night for the lights behind you, this allows me then to see the 3 yo in the back seat, then i just flick it back up and u can see out the back again.

I hope this makes sense a bit of a hard one to explain.

It's a Kluger thing. Not sure if the new RAV has it, But the Prado doesnt.

Its more aimed at the soccer mum type of car.

I have a convex one mounted above my rear view mirror which allows me to keep an eye on the little one.

Thanks for the replies. Because of this 'feature' the wife asked 'why didn't we buy the Kluger' ffs. I wouldn't think Toyota would make this a different part, maybe this could be retro fitted ala the Hilux washer jets...

Thats funny, the way women think compared to the way men think when purchasing a car.
We have just ordered a new GXL V6, we were originally planing to buy the base model GX to save some cash but I really wanted the GXL.
The wife dug her heels in, she wasnt impressed by the alloys (there just wheels she says) or the built in blue tooth 6 stacker stereo (its just a cd player she says)
It wasnt until I pointed out the fact that the GX doesnt have rear air con and the kids would complain that she changed her mind......thank you jesus
