I folded down the 2nd row seats this morning to take some stuff to the dump. Got home and found something had pressed on the latch that locks the seat back to the ground anchor point so now it's stuck closed and won't open. How can I open again? Is there a manual switch or something to press on?

I had a similar problem a few months ago. I left in the end as I was getting nowhere. I came back to it a few weeks later to clean out the car and it freed up by itself.

We got it fixed. Just folded the seat base back down as far as it would go then folded the back up (so it was folder up as normal but not latched. Glad you got your sorted Bill. My 2nd row seat (drivers side) has been unable to be tumbled forward for months. The seat can be folded down but the latches just wont release. Tried everything without success. Very frustrating...2004 V6 Grande. BLACK -Comment

Good to hear you got it sorted. If I saw this post earlier, I would've mentioned to try pulling/pushing the seat back and forth.
I frequently fold my middle seats up and the clips usually get stuck.
Craigm, I've had this happen as well. I usually find they just need to be forced back into its base latches (I think the mechanics are similar to the latch for the bonnet. If you don't push hard, it wont be latched properly) to be "reset" then lift the backrest back to normal. Then, try to fold them down as normal.Comment
