That is not correct, I had a late 2005 GXL and it had the 4 speed.

It might be the case that was the change date in the V6, but definitely not in the Diesel.

Yep - my bad. I thought I red he was little for a petrol only, no idea where I got that idea from though.

As others mentioned, the diesels ran the 4 speeds for a couple of years after.

You read correctly. I am after the petrol as i read they are more reliable (less common problems).
