Spare Wheel Hard Cover alternative?

    Spare Wheel Hard Cover alternative?

    Hi guys,

    I have just had 265/70/17s fitted including the spare and the factory GXL cover will not fit.

    Has anyone had any luck fitting alternative models? ie FJ Cruiser etc. After lots of searching I know the 150 cover fits over the tyre though doesn't mount easily to the 120.

    Happy to do a little moding to get it on.

    FJ Cruiser Cover

    I have FJ Cruiser Cover on now. Fits.

    Other option would be to lower pressure in your spare tyre so it fits under standard cover. Try 29 Psi or just below.

      Or a soft cover. That's what I have on the 150 albeit with a hole in the centre so the camera can still be used.

        I was thinking the FJ might work. Have you got any pictures of how it mounts?
