Does anyone have any information or contacts for the court case that has set precedent for engines suffering blowby?
I believe it was against NorthPoint Toyota in South Australia. The SA courts are unable to provide any details of the case.
If you do have any personal pls PM them to me! Would be greatly appreciated.
Turns out Toyota did change my seals at 120k, listed the Part number as PRT1117630011 on the service invoice. Retrieved the seals from my seized motor and they were the old copper seals! 😡. Apparently there was a bulletin issued within Toyota to cease the use of the copper seals! Does anyone have any details of this bulletin?? Issue date?
Cheers

The bulletin was posted on this thread #4 by D4D. It came out in feb this year. That's your best tool to win.

They replace the injector seats, in the process they ruin your injector lines, introduce crap into your fuel system because they don't know how to clean anything and completely fudge up the job in general. I experienced my first jack in the box today too ####[LEFT]Silver 150 Facelift

Loving it, damn good answer man! That's exactly what they do! Tools! Don't let them touch it.
I had a call yesterday, a dealer fitted injectors & pipes I supplied, because I'm cheaper lol........ Anyway, our customer had them fit a restrictor plate 7mm as recommended, it had engine light & codes, they said you can't put a plate in, LMFAO I said you have left something loose or unplugged.
They figured it out all good now. That was in w.a.
I can't tell you a story a day from these places. The one I'm working on now is so sweet, never been touched, nothing broken, nothing loose & missing, nothing over tightened, no jack in the box, it's nice to get one that's like a virgin
