Mines a GXL TD manual with a few mods...

GVM is 2900kg so I have 510 kgs to spare!

If I fill the tanks, myself and 4 mates, few of cases of Pale Ale I'd be almost to GVM

I'm scared to weigh mine - I'd probably have to take a leak and then empty the loose change in my pockets to scrape in under the GVM...

                Re: Kerb weight

I was not doing much at work this arvo to I put the wagon on the weigh bridge.
                2360kg

Thats for a 2006 petrol auto gxl with half fuel, steel bull bar, tow bar, winch and me as the main additional weight, but i also have the fridge in at the moment, dual batteries, driving lights, cargo barrier, roof racks so i guess this all adds up. No wonder it likes to suck the fuel!

It's true the mods rally add up.

Before heading north I weighed mine and it came in at 2500kg on the nose (+/-20kg which was the accuarcy of the weigh bridge)

This was full of fuel, and running all accessories in my signature. No driver.

                      Re: Kerb weight

So do you guys have a weighbridge at work that you can use or do you just roll into the nearest truck weighbridge on one of the highways? I've never been game to go in and ask.

                        Re: Kerb weight

we have one at work, but if you want to weigh your car, the easiest way (if you dont have one at work) is to go to the council tip.

Just do a google search for "Public Weighbridges" and pick out the one nearest to you.

Mick, My understanind is that the GVM is based on the original suspension. As you have upgraded yours it can effectiverly carry a heavier load altough an engineer needs to sign off and update the plate before this is legal.

Anyone know which one is free to use? Or are they free by default?
