That's OBD2 compliant. So perhaps those bluetooth / wireless OBD2 devices can do what you want. I believe they can read error codes. My Prado is M-OBD but there is a hack to get those OBD2 devices to be compatible to the Prado's M-OBD protocol.

Can you give more info amts on the hack to get OBD2 devices to work with the M-OBD protocol? I've been looking for a solution for a while but can't find a solution.

            Cut and paste
For those of you whose torque app cannot read the cars ecu all you need to do is create a vehicle profile for it and select automatic protocol selection then under that in the advanced settings type this:

            "
            ATIB 96 \n ATIIA 13 \n ATSH8213F0 \n ATSP4 \n 0100 "

Save it and restart the app and it shall work.
I believe there are limitations and you don't get the full info but still better than nothing at all. Now I need to choose a suitable device off ebay. They all seem to be around the $15 mark.

Thanks. Is the Torque app available on an iPhone or PC (there are a couple of apps with a similar name)?

I can't see the same app in the App Store. So I'm guessing it's on Android only.
