120 steering wheel controls

Hi guys. I'd love to have steering wheel controls (radio, phone, cruise etc) on my steering wheel. I was hoping that a later model steering wheel could be adapted. I've had a look for threads on this but can't find any recent ones. Can this be done/has this been done/how is it done?

It can be done. I know a bloke who just did this, but it is not easy or cheap, you'll need a new airbag for starters.

It might be easier & cheaper to get an aftermarket head unit & get controls for it.
I know Pioneer & Alpine do steering wheel controls.
It wont look stock, but it will save time & money.
