  • 2nd row of seats anchor point/bolts

Today, I managed to strip not one but two threads where the black bolts go into. I think I stripped the first, then swapped bolts to see if the other would accept it and in doing so, stripped the other with the damaged bolt. Will the local dealer be able to re-cut the thread and supply two new bolts?

    Advice appreciated.

It really depends how much damage has been caused to the threads. You can clean them with a tap but if the threads have been severely stripped they will have no strength. Options are to helicoil or drill and tap to the next size. Are you talking about the M10 bolts? Where are you based?

I'd just be running a Tap thru it and getting a couple new bolts.
As said. Depends how excited you got with it on the damage scale..... It's pretty hard to fubar a thread totally. But possible.

Where are you? As Piggy said grab a couple of bolts and tap don't go to a dealer. The bolts are M10x1.25 from memory so you will need a dedicated bolt shop and not Masters or Bunnings. If you are in Brisbane I can point you to bolt places, likewise other PPers know other areas.

You need to run a tap from the other side.
