  • Loose steering wheel cover when cold ?

    Morning all,
I have noticed that in the morning when its cold ( less than 5 ^C). the outer non metal part of the steering wheel is loose on the metal rob inner. It like a cheap fat 13" spotes wheel i wouid have had back in the 80s.
This is a 2007 VX with the factory leather wheel.
With one hand i can grip the top of the steering wheel and twist the cover 90 to 100Deg forward and back.

By the time the cab temp is above 20^C its all tight and firm.
anyone else see this problem ?

Sounds like it has been squeezed too hard or dammaged by excessive force squashing the foam underneath.

Warranty replacement should be no issue.

na.. the foam or what ever it is under the outer cover is firm and in as new condition but looks to expands in the cold or it looses its sticky surface that holds onto the metal ring structure.
