  • Tire size for a stock prado

    Hi fellas,

    Does anyone has an idea of how big can I go with tires keeping in mind that my prado is full stock (stock suspensions, gear ratios, etc. etc.)?

    Im currently rollin on 285/60 r17 (that s about 31"-32")

    Any info is well appreciated

    I think 265/70 is the max you can go when stock.
    It's a 31.6" tyre.

    Yours are actually 30.5". For reference check this out: https://tiresize.com/converter/

          265x65R17 is the standard tyre size.

          I put 265x70R17 Mickey Thompson ATZ P3's on BEFORE my lift. And its defiantly do-able. you will get some scraping on hard lock but that's about it.

          you will feel like its down on power and consume around 1-2 Litres per hundred K's extra for every 1" taller your tyres are above standard.

          265x70R17 = 25.4mm above standard = 1-2 Litre per hundred less
          285x70R17 = 53.34mm above standard = 2-4 Litre per hundred less
