Hi Guys, can anyone direct me to a thread on where to blank the EGR on a 1kz-Te? I've searched and found heaps of info and arguments but still can't find out where the EGR is on the 1kzte.

Hi Guys, can anyone direct me to a thread on where to blank the EGR on a 1kz-Te? I've searched and found heaps of info and arguments but still can't find out where the EGR is on the 1kzte.

Mate I don't know about a thread but the EGR valve itself is on the rear of the inlet manifold, a steel pipe runs from it around the rear of the engine and connects to the rear of the exhaust manifold. That is were you loosen the two nuts that hold it(the pipe) and slide your blanking plate between the pipe and the manifold. The nuts are a bugga to get at but saying that just persevere.

Thanks John, 👍 I thought that may have been the one, it does look like a bugger to get to! So you block the exhaust manifold side?
