Well time for an update.
Yes I had to take the vehicle back again.
And then another visit for myself.
They looked at the guard, sprayed it, wiped it, got a torch and intensely examined it.
I crouched down next to them, so where can you see any existing damage apart from the dent in question that would warrant the first sheet being marked up.
Nothing, so I say, can you see any thing there, well we need to look at the photos again. Back we go into the office to look at the photos, so there is nothing there either is there.
What is that much higher up on the guard, probably dirt I say. Yes well there must have been something there, bull shit!
Out we go to look at the rest of the car! Here I say I am not questioning any thing else and then ask if there is someone higher up the chain, yes, I would like to see him please.
Very defensive, hands up, as if pushing me away, made an appointment for tonight.
It basically went this way.
We have sheets showing the damage and we have talked to our fitting technician and the damage was existing and he pointed it out to the booking in service team guy, strange he never mentioned that to me when I rang him back after getting home, noticing the damage and ringing him straight away, he just said, yes we have a dent marked.
When I pointed out that the first photo clearly shows no damage and that the service team has examined the guard and can find nothing to indicate why the first sheet was marked up at the guard in question, the answer was, ok that sheet is in question and it was pushed aside.
This is where I say, to me the evidence clearly indicates that both sheets have been marked up after the fact.
Up come the hands, stop right there, that is a very serious accusation and this meeting will end right now. Back and forth it goes, the manager says, I was prepared for you to get a quote and meet you some where as a good will gesture, that’s the second time I have heard that.
I did say why would I waste so much of my time to try and put the blame on this service department for something so small.
The out come is I said well obviously this can not be resolved here so I will take it further.
Ok all you well informed guys, where do I go now.
