Talking about green offenders.... The green "Cruise" light also seems to be packing some type of high intensity HID bulb that requires eye averting. Add that to the spotlight 90L light and geez you'd think a UFO was hovering over the Prado at night. So much so that Hoons give you the thumbs up as they rocket past with their green under-car lamps on full blast. I like the green light, just need a fader for them.

We hired a Mish*tbus Magna in Tasmania last year and that had terrible blue illuminated speedo numbering plus other blue bling all over the place. Man I wanted to vomit each time I drove it at night. I found the blue lights difficult to read, even on full brightness with the fader. Apparently humans do not see blue very well. Green is our best colour!

There is another light which is the low fuel light. It comes on with something under 30l to go.

I think this may answer one of my burning questions ... a bit off topic ... have you guys generally found that when the little petrol pump appear you have 20-30l still available ? I've never taken a chance and keep filling 'er up.

Re: Does anyone else find the 90L fuel light very bright?

Having just done a fair bit of extended driving including night time travel... I didn't find the fuel light too bright or annoying. It is brighter than the green cruise control and fog lights indicator light... But better to notice it than to run out of fuel!

Cant you just wind the brightness back on the dash lights? I always wind mine back as far as possible at night. Preserves the night vision. Never noticed that the 90k light was too bright.

I recommend starting with a very big fire"-Vince.

Mine was bright today so I filled the car up and all was back to normal. No problem

                          So did I.

As I have only had the car a few days, it was the first time I had filled it.

I am not used to paying the $221.00 that it cost to fill the 180lt tank.

Did I hear, get used to it?
