    Hi everyone,
Hope it's ok to join up here as you guys seem far more knowledgable on the Landcruiser Prado in Aus as they're far more popular there-and I can see why!.

I've recently picked myself up a 2005 LC5 after a few years of suffering at the hands of an early Range Rover Sport and don't think I will ever own anything made by Land Rover again.

I love the Prado so far, it's better on juice, the servicing and parts are much less expensive and most importantly nothing has fallen off it or broken yet.

I've read a few threads on here and ordered the fix for the gearbox lever that makes it difficult to get out of park, there are a couple of minor things I need to sort out on it so I'm looking forward to reading up on them and contributing if I can.

Welcome. If it's difficult to get out of park try pushing the small shift lock button in front of the gear selector. If that makes it smooth check that your brake lights are working. A blown fuse or dodgy brake switch will disable the solenoid that releases the shifter.
