Tyres... what a headache. Ended up going with (and paying extra after a mysterious "price rise") a full set of Bridgestone Dueler AT 694 in 275/65/17.

Tomorrow is lift, Polyairs and air-bag compatible cargo barrier

Originally was going to go with Cooper ATRs but in the end size matters

What price did you get for the new Dueler ATs, and did you receive a good trade-in on the standard Dunlop AT20s?

Hard to say. Originally they were going to trade the Dunlops and replace with the Duelers for $100 per tyre which I thought was a good deal.

They order them in and now tell me that the Dunlops are currently on special and can't do it for the same price and are now $175 per tyre.

I am a bit pi$$ed off about it but the next nearest Bridgestone dealer won't do it as I have to drive too far and he can't sell them as new.

I think these guys get their sales tips from oil companies.

They are 275 and not 265 so that might matter a bit.

In the scheme of things $375 is not much, but at the same time, it's down right annoying the way some dealers scape an extra few dollars - just because they can.

I would back out on them, sounds a bit scammy to me.

Dunlops on Special! Where? I rang around this week to see what prices go for and I got quotes of $325 to $345 fitted  So if I was you I would double check the tyre joints and see if infact they are on special.
Anyway congrats on your new Prado you will love it.

Yeah, I feel violated. Trouble is I am tight for time and the other Bridgy dealers won't trade on the distance I have to travel on the OEMs.

Ah well. It was ready to be picked up today but I have a sick kid so I am picking up tomorrow.

I think I have taken the morally-correct approach.

Shall post pics tomorrow with about 40km on the clock and a list of the goodies that went in and on.

One of the nice things was a Uniden UHF that has a police scanner built in. Great idea I thought.

I agree, way to go for sure, (not that i always do ops: ); we try to get a fair deal - sometimes we end up doing better than "fair", othertimes not.
But still, this dealer suks! By the way, is it the Toyo dealer or the Tyre dealer that dudded you?

                        Enjoy your new toy.

Mine's white too. IMHO best color!
Looks like you went the ARB deluxe bar, non winch variety.
I went winch bar, and will install winch later, when the mi$$u$ lets me  ---- or it might just appear and I doubt she'll notice
Enjoy your rig - may it give you much fun and travels around this great country of ours!

LOL Bear... I meant morally I stayed home to look after my crook kid rather than pickup the truck

The tyre dealer got me. I will be letting him know about the lack of a "tyre sale".

Well rhs58 yours and mine will be virtually identical parked next to each other. White is the new black. The only problem with white is that under the white paint on the guards and rear bumper the plastic is black

I got the TC option pack as well. Do you have a larger pic of your truck other than your avatar? It looks good.

This will be my first 120 after having a '99 model 90 series.

I'm putting in a dash mat and front seat covers tomorrow morning and a fridge slide for the Waeco on Saturday.
