$2.20 mid-August at Marree, at the end of the Birdsville track. I didn't fill up (I buy ULP), I just took note. The ULP cost me $2.05 /litre

We flew to Melbourne earlier this year to check out a 2003 GXL TD auto. Looked a dream so we bought it then and there (mind you we were looking around QLD and NSW for a good 2-3 months for a reasonable 120). After we filled up to the brim just outside Cragieburn... god knows where we were... we set off, and 2 days later we were in Brisbane still on the same tank. filled up to the 90ltr mark again for the brisbane - sunny coast leg. Don't know exact usage but covered about 1800k's and i rekon there was about a qtr left in the reserve tank in brisbane. Imagine my delight after driving around a V6 petrol rodeo guzzler for 2 years - 450km per tank! Anyways, loving the Prado!
used to get really good economy average was between 10 and 11 litres per 100km now since the ecu was played with to help reduce the cold weather knocking the economy is woeful ??????????????????????????
Lightforce 240Blitz driving lights, Rear hitch recovery point, GME tx3400 uhf, 64watt Uni-Solar cell, ARB CKMA12 Air compressor. all awaiting new vehicle to be delivered so they can be remounted.
Hmmmm! Some interesting stats there.
The oil burners seem to go pretty well,Great range for touring. Well I have a 98 mod 3.4 v6 with a UniChip ,also have a roof top tent on it, but as well, a good custom built air foil, pluss 32" bfg mudy's and all the usual touring gear.A couple of weeks ago we went out for a run,and I got 800K's for 100ltr's of petrol, thats 13ltr's to 100,I was pretty happy with that considering that there was a couple of hours of dirt driving, in mostly 3rd gear.
That would give me a 1200 K range, runing it dry that is.
last refill wife had 1370 out of 130 litres.mostly all city stop start driving...
and dont generally go below last qtr of tank.
Quite happy for an 06 1Kz...
I get 1000 around town, but never much more than 1300 highway, I normally put in between 150- 160 litres. Most of my highway travels I am fully loaded.

If the headwinds across Barkly are kind, I can get from Katherine to Mt Isa before a refuel, then all the way to Brisbane (just). Not bad considering the lift and MT tyres No doubt the Diesel Power additive and the 6th cog have a bit to do with that. These are winter trips also. Drops when the heat gets higher of course.
