My d4d is a GXLo7 model. Just wanted to let pradopointers know of the repairs Toyota have carried out on my GXL.Have had the transmission 'Clunk' fixed with a new tail shaft inslalled. They tried the 're grease' remedy but didn;t work, hence the new tail shaft. The 'cold noisey engine' . more like a rifle shot , has been fixed with all new injectors and 'dump pipes' (don't really know what they do) ,re maped computor etc. Toyota say this is still a trial and hope it works? which is a bit of a worry..So far so good but only a few K's done since. Now I have a vibration at between 1 to 2,000 RPM. They say this is the engine mounts .. New engine mounts coming.. I must say I love the car BUT, Toyota tough, not so sure anymore. Hiluxe's a having same problems say Toyota.. All the best for Xmas people.
