warranty ending, what to look for.

did a search but found bugger all. (i maybe crap at searching)


my gxl auto petrol will be out of warranty very shortly. its due for its 40k service, just wondering what items may require attention, if any. i do have a staple coming trough my center consol. which i'll get them to check.

i also intend keeping this car for atleast another 2 years, is it worth extending the toyota warranty? is the extended warranty as good as the manufactuers.

The RAA (or equivalent in your state) do end of warranty inspections. They'll give you a list (If any) that the dealer is obliged to repair under warranty.

Extending the warranty is a matter for you, of course. Risk versus cost. There are already a number of threads about extended warranty - with lots of good information and testimonials. Certainly worth considering... but read the fine print.

I have the Toyota extended warranty, it extends the factory warranty and has the same conditions. Don't get stung with an aftermarket warranty as they aren't worth the paper they are written on.

jcas. i havent, thankfully. i have had some issues addresed, but nothing that required a claim against toyota.
