    ceiling crackle vibration

    Hi all,
    This noise surfaced at the start of our W.A trip, we are from Melbourne. The location is coming from the from interior light and the only relief we got from this was when we jammed fuel receipts in between the light fitting. the sound is best described as a cellophane crunching. service guys In W.A said it was to hard to fix since we were in transit. Any ideas before we try again.

    Kong the light you're talking about is the rectangle dome light up on the roof, above the front seat backrests? Not the map lights?

    It's an odd one and I admit I have no idea. My first thoughts are that something is loose and rattling around within the light assembly someplace. A scrunching cellophane noise though..... something plasticy... geez I dunno. You shoved some fuel receipts up under the plastic light cover and it stopped the noise? Or just muted it a bit?

    Isn't the rear camera wiring meant to be in the roof, above the trim? Could it be a cable tie etc for that rattling about? Not sure exactly where that wiring runs though.

      This happened to me and it was plastic clip broken in the roof causing wires to vibrate. If you do a search it will turn up, it has happen to a few of us.
