Slight knock when accellerating from 1st to 10km/hr

    Slight knock when accellerating from 1st to 10km/hr

    Noticed a slight knock when accelerating from standstill in 1st to about 5-10km/hr. First thing that came to mind was that there was a bottle wandering around the middle row seats but there was no bottle. The knock is more noticeable on the left hand side than the right. You can feel it more than you can hear it - windows down you can barely hear it.

    First thing that came to mind is that it might be a loose brake pad (110,000 and still on original pads) or a CV joint (please god don't be this!!!).

    What do you guys think?

    Is the knock repetative each time or only happen once each time. If only once each time possibly tail shaft clunk????? but at 110,000km one would think it would have been noticable earlier. Mine started at less that 5000km.

      Once each time, doesn't really feel like a tail shaft clunk but i might be wrong. I just took it for another drive and you can bearly notice it - you notice it more if you actualy site in the front left passenger seat.

        LHS engine mount maybe???

          I sure hope not! Was thinking of taking it to Toyota for inspection but its very intermittent.

            I have the same problem, mine is only 27000 k and it feel more like the knock came from the gearbox changes from 1st to 2nd gear.
