Some Asshole threw a cigarette out of their car window as my wife was driving to work today and it landed on the front of the drivers side seat. Unfortunately it has left a burn mark on the seat. I wont go in to the details of what I would have done if i had caught up with the idiot. The question I ask, is it possible to repair as I would imagine the material is hard to match as it is several years old and possibly used only on Prado (dune colour). I could just forget about it and put seat covers over the top as I was going to do any way, but it does look crappy and would take value off the resale should i sell the car further down the track

Re: Cigarette burn on seats
Thanks TP I will follow that up.Originally posted by Team PiggyYou can buy the original seat covers as a spare part. A trimeer can then install it. (You can also buy just the section you need)
Its one thing that really anoys the crap out of me, I was a CFS member for 9 years and the amount of fires that start at road sides that we used to go and put out, that could have developed into something worse is astronomical. If your a smoker and you smoke in your car. Use the F@%&ing ashtray and clean it out regularly. i believe there are very heavy fines for those that get caught. unfortunately for my wife she didn't have time to take a number she was too busy trying to pull over and stop the cigarette burning any thing else (like her legs)Originally posted by ozwapet2That must have been scary for your wife - ciggy landing on her while driving.
I get really irritated at people flicking cigarettes out of car windows.
If you got the rego you can report them (EPA website ).
Well here in Vic you can.2003 GXL 3.0 TD, 60 lt waeco, ARB dual batery, OME suspension, ARB delux winch bar, Desert sky camper trailer
