  • Replacement Keys for 120

Greetings to all. I need a little help. I need to source a replacement key or 2 for my prado. I found a site in Hong Kong that has them (I think) but I am unsure of what to order. Their customer service is non-existent trust me I've tried.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16370 is this the correct size and shape blade? I have the internals already.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16620 this one has the transponder but I am unsure of the size.

    Any advice?
    thanks

Ebay has a stack of them as well:

      Re: Replacement Keys for 120

Thanks. I've already looked through the posts on keys. I am not in Australia, and the site I linked ships for free to where I am at a much cheaper rate than any place on ebay.
What I am trying to find out is if the keys shown work with prados. They seem to be generic 4d toyota remote keys but they come in 2 different blade lengths. My concern is if the blade is workable for the Prado.
If anyone can look at the link and let me know I would appreciate it.
      Thank you.
PS. I am in Jamaica and my dealer options are limited.

I bought some blanks off ebay for $5ea, but now I'm having trouble getting them cut. Mr Minit, Mitre 10 etc have all refused to cut them. Bunnings cut one for me after I assured them I wouldn't get upset if it didn't work, and it didn't. They were having trouble getting it to sit properly in their cutter, and ended up cutting it at an angle.

I reckon Bunnings could do it, I work there and we cut some pretty full on keys for customers but sometimes it can be a bit tricky. If your key cut on an angle then they probably had the holder on the wrong setting which meant the key sat too far in or out.. When I get my prado I'll buy some blanks and see just how difficult they are and if I crack it then we can try work something out for those who want them cut.

Utter rubbish they are spouting and as for it not working purely down to laziness.

I have been a locksmith/ key cutter for 20 years and my machines are calibrated weekly and I take great pride in guaranteeing that the keys I cut work.

Often for far less than Mr Minit and alike. Go to a proper locksmiths and they will see you right.

              Good luck

+1....i think its liability thing or maybe they are just being mean because you didnt pay thier over inflated prices! They tried to charge me 90 bucks for what was a blatant ebay blank!

Any good locksmith will be able to do it.

Oh and GLWDaves keys are great! just got mine the other day, worked perfectly using the instructions and saved me getting a $700 toyota key!
