Hi all,

Boy have i had a bad day today!

To top it all off i pulled in the drive and now cannot lock or start my car.

Haven't had a problem with her at all lately.

There is no response from her at all :-(

Any suggestions people?

If it were the battery she would at least lock or turn over or something right?

I have to tell kev when he gets home ...

Please help!

sounds like its lost all electrickery...check battery terminals for starters

Sorry to hear Jas.. I would start at removing battery terminals to reset the ECU and leave disconnected for a bit.. then reconnect. Although if your doors arent locking via the remote ....... whats the voltage on the battery BTW?

The wife's camry did exactly the same thing recently - not even enough spark to open the driver's door lock. Battery was completely dead and would not re-charge at all.

Chucked in a spare that I had in the shed and all worked fine. Can't complain, it was nearly seven years old!

Like others have said, I would first be chceking the battery.
Since it is completely dead it may have dropped a cell and gone open circuit.

Thank you everyone for your advice. After the Prado electrics went in it. I had to take the Celica to do some quick shopping. To fix the problem all I did was disconnect the battery for about a minute then reconnect to reset the ECU. Problem solved. Started first go. Kev
