  • Good deal or not?

    Hi all,

new to the forum and am in the process of sourcing my first Prado. I have had several Patrols and a Suzuki but now have a good opportunity to pick up an early 2003 GX TD manual with 240k ish kms on it for around $12,000 and maybe a bit cheaper. Not completely sure if this is a good deal so who better to ask than the Pradopoint folks.

    So.....good deal or not.

    Cheers

    Nigel

    Welcome to the forum Haycait,

    So.....good deal or not.
Its always difficult to give advice on pricing. It depends on so many things, but primarily the condition of the vehicle.

At face value it seems a very reasonable price, but you will need to check that it is in good condition.

240k could be half way for engine life if it has been treated well. Listen for too much noise from the engine, no gas leaking out the oil filler cap when removed and the other usual vehicle checks, and you could have a good car.

    Best of luck - Greg

        Re: Good deal or not?

Yeah thanks for the replies guys,
Guess I should have explained a bit better....it has been owned by my boss who had it serviced regularly and did very minimal towing etc as it was a work vehicle for him. Mostly done highway miles and is not quite in show room condition but far from a wreck as well. Recently had a new radiator put in as well.

        Cheers
