  • Steering wheel trim is tatty, retrim or replace?

My steering wheel trim is worn and torn (see pic), and needs to be retrimmed. I see a lot of steering wheel covers for sale on eBay, but I'm concerned a DIY fix will look half assed. Has anyone used one of these? Are they good? How much does a professional retrim cost? Would replacing the steering wheel be a viable option as compared with the cost of a professional retrim?

I bought this SCA leather cover as a cheap alternative. Feels good and makes the steering wheel chunkier to hold.

Had our wheel recovered in matching leather for $250 earlier in the year.
Great job, dropped of one day picked up after work the next.
