Centre console cooler box

Hi all, I just purchased an 09 grande which has the cooler box in the centre console. It has a persistent bad smell which I wondered if anyone had any ideas for removing.

I use vanilla essence to freshen up my fridges & eskies, just splash a little in and wipe around. If really bad, think forgotten prawns ☹️ Leave a little in for a couple of days.

If the cooler has the plastic mat in the bottom have a close look at that. It has holes in it from manufacturing and if liquid has been in ther it is very hard to clean out.

I’ve found a little bit of bicarb in a dish helps get smells out.
