Leaking sunroof 120 Grande

Hi all!
2006 120 series Grande with 180K on the odo.

the electric sunroof is leaking into the roof lining, and now the roof lining has a nasty rattle. The sunroof drainage channels appear dirty and blocked, and the electric mechanism is faulty and the sunroof jams open and has to be manually coaxed shut.

i know it needs a clean and a lube so that it drains, but I have no idea how. I think the weatherproof seals need replacing. Any ideas how to fix it and the roof lining simultaneously.

any helpful tips? I’m worried that going into a dealer will cost a bomb.

My other car is an Audi and it had the same issue. I went to Sydney Motor Trimmer and they cleaned the drains (cheap) and replaced the headliner (exe). There should be someone similar in most big cities just google "sunroof repair". If the drains are working fine then a loose seal shouldn't be a big issue. SMT did a 5 min water test to confirm the problem then gave me a quote. Fix it before the headliner goes and you need to replace that as well.
