2003 120 series auto transmission fluid flush

Hi guys,

Thinking about completing an atf flush over the weekend. I've found the drain cap but can't find the filler cap...

Any help would be great!

Automatic transmissions with dipsticks can be filled via the dipstick which will make the job simpler as you’ll be upright. When refilling, place a clear syringe tube with the plunger inside removed, with clear plastic Flexi tube attachment put on (from Super Cheap Auto) into the dipstick hole. Place a large funnel on top. Pour new ATF into the funnel slowly until your measured amount has been poured in (use a smaller bottle or a pouring jug to do this). Turn the motor on & start checking the cold fluid level when nearly topped up & leave the fluid level just a touch under this mark. Correctly check the level with the ATF hot. When you think you’ve got the cold level just under the correct cold mark, take the car for a 20 min drive, and check it immediately when you get home with the motor idling & top up a little to the correct “hot” mark. By under filling at the cold mark slightly will mean you won’t need to remove any fluid when hot, only adding a little. I did it by this method in my 90 series each time & the car did 400,000km with the auto in great condition. I reckon the auto transmission would’ve outlasted the engine itself.
Given this is your first time doing the ATF fluid change, keep in mind only 2-3L will come out when you drain the pan. The whole tranny & torque converter will hold 11 litres. Changing just 2-3L and leaving it at that will be a waste of time.
