  • Last week ind so replaced 8pin relay and fixed this week haz run cont cant turn off

5 days ago I replaced the 8 pin flasher unit $100 now the hazard lights will not shut off, disconnected the hazard switch "hazards continue to to run" Pulled the black 12v supply wire connector pin out of plug that plugs into the flasher unit and that leaves the flasher unit completely dead it seems? With flasher unit unplugged only 1 wire gets a 12v reading on the plug that plugs into the flasher unit .. replace the 12v supply black wire in the plug and plug the flasher unit in and theres 4 wires getting 12v supplied (of course that is happening because the hazards are continuously on but the question is should that black wire on corner have 12v supply to begin with???) Is there another relay somewhere that may be faulty? Or have i just been lucky enough to buy a flasher unit thats faulty? From the tests ive done im assuming the flasher unit has pooped itself? Any thoughts or advice ??

Some have found this with undercharged battery/s. Or rain/ moisture getting into a control box ECU. Some threads on this already may shed some info. https://www.google.com/search?q=prad...hrome&ie=UTF-8
